Dehua, a small county in Fujian province, has been producing porcelain for over a thousand years. The local clay fires to an exceptionally pure white, close to ivory, with a smooth surface pleasant to the touch. No glaze is added after firing, just the material itself.
We chose Dehua for a simple reason: it ticks all the boxes without breaking the bank. Hard, non-porous, completely neutral for tea. Nothing absorbed, nothing added. It's the kind of material you can start your tea journey with and never feel the need to change.
