Dancongs marked as Xuepian (Snowflake) are harvested later in the season, just before the bushes go into winter dormancy. Compared to spring harvests, Snowflakes are lighter in body but deliver outstanding aromatics. They are typically lightly roasted or not roasted to preserve the fragile floral notes, what is known as qingxiang (light fragrance). Our Snowflake Duckshit is a perfect example: lovely floral and vegetal aromatics, and a more accessible price than spring teas from the same producers without holding back on body feel.

This Snowflake Duckshit comes from Wudong village, the core production area for Dancong teas and one of the places home to some of the oldest and most respected trees. We sourced it through a trusted friend based in China, with direct ties to some of the best producers in the region.
